Department: Health Information

Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred.  Experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of two years at a Director level is preferred.  Certified Coding Specialist with knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and the intent to learn ICD-10 required.  Must have knowledge and experience in health information privacy laws, access and release of information.  Experience with electronic health records a plus.  Must demonstrate leadership abilities, be highly organized and have excellent communication skills.

Ottawa County Health Center, a non-profit 25-bed critical access hospital with attached 17-bed long term care facility is looking for an Administrator with vision and proven leadership abilities.  Experience with understanding of critical access hospital financials required.  Bachelors degree required; Masters in Hospital Administration or related field preferred.  Must possess excellent communication skills in medical staff and employee relations.  Must be community and team oriented.  Hospital is leased by Great Plains Health Association and located in Minneapolis, Kansas, approximately 20 miles north of Salina.  Accepting resumes with salary requirements until February 24th, 2012.
